Spiral

The name '2012 Rising' refers to two aspects of the 2012 subject arena. Firstly the entire 2012 plethora of subjects seems to be rising from the depths of human consciousness itself as much as coming from any Maya calendar or ancient prophecy. Secondly the winter solstice of 21-12-2012 11:11UT is based around the rising of the sun toward the dark rift on that moment in 2012.

2012 Rising is the result of years of collaboration between numerous researchers, some of whom present guest articles to this site. Other researchers that do not provide article are thanked directly in the articles here that utilise their research findings. The intention of this site is to provide a balanced view of the myriad 2012 related subjects. Though articles are meant to minimise bias it is fair to say some writer bias creeps in and may be disagreeable to some readers. We can’t please everyone all of the time.

One of the main aims for the 2012 Rising project is the initiation of greater debate on core subjects for all of humanity such as the nature of reality, the nature of the human self, the reason for being and indeed all things that tackle the matter of consciousness itself.  This is not a site about a doomsday prophecy nor is it the ramblings of a scared man just waiting for the sky to fall upon his head.

Subjects investigated here are wide ranged and far-reaching. The general direction in which it goes is toward investigating our inner selves and our perceptive ability’s interpretation of existence. It is necessary at times to peel back the ‘story’ of conceptual consensus reality and see what lies beneath. The get to the solutions for the troubles in our times we have to weed out their roots in our own human hearts. Despite some perceptions to the contrary the world is not broken, man is broken and it is man only that requires to be fixed.

As cutting edge findings are revealed or indeed as ancient sources are further ploughed new articles will appear to expound information to others. Amidst the new data on 2012 there is also plenty to be said based on that which is already known but simply not widely discussed. Many articles here deal with the matter of human consciousness or on events that fall into the spiritual and supernatural categories than 2012 specifically.

Essentially 2012 Rising is one man’s tumble down the rabbit hole along with discussion of information encountered thus far and references to the interesting friends he has met along the way. If new article do not satisfy you please feel free to visit the site archive where you may find subject matter more to your own tastes. Guest article submissions will always be considered and new information supplied to me will be gratefully received.

About the Writer

Well, what can I say about the character or rather the consciousness avatar that birthed this site?

Bruce Fenton was born in Cheltenham in the South West of England on the 1st day of the New Year in 1977. For achievement of being the first child born in the town that year he appeared in a local newspaper. The first weird thing in his life other than that was the fact his grand father had been born exactly one hundred years previous on the 1st of January 1877.

The date 01-01-1977 is equivalent to 9-Wind in the Maya Tzolkin calendar system. In the Maya system the date of birth is also the name of the child and is seen as a guide to the future life task of the individual. It is then perhaps worth noting the striking resemblance the information gleaned from this glyph has to Bruce Fenton’s own life.

In Maya lore the number 9 is governed by Kulkukan, the Maya feathered serpent deity whom in their prophecy will return in the year 2012. The day sign of Wind describes matters of spirituality and communication of ideas. Those born with this day sign are seen as great dreamers and planners with a depth of imagination. Wind people tend to make great speakers, teachers and reporters if working within the area of spiritual affairs. They spread information by various mediums, as though letting ideas fly upon the wind, yet they remain ever adaptive to changes and therefore may appear inconsistent.

The down side is tendency for anger, as well as for boasting, and as such they do need grounding in their personal sphere. It is fair to say that Bruce Fenton did not grow up with the expectation he would be expounding spiritual information to thousands of people. The extraordinary coincidence of the birth sign firmly linked to the work he would do later is well worth considering. When pondering the validity of the Maya calendar such matters as this correlation are very relevant. The Tzolkin is after all one of the core building blocks of the whole 2012 subject.

Despite a fairly mundane ordinary and largely very enjoyable childhood his life would veer down some unusual paths following involvement with the countercultures illegal rave-scene. This was during the early 1990’s in the South west of the UK as the whole scene headed towards its unsuspected demise. He noted that there was an emergent swell of anti-establishment thinking and a desire for greater social unity amidst the chaos and hard drugs of the rave parties. There was something more transcendent brewing within many of the Ravers, some unspoken desire for a kind of unity consciousness. After all, it is far easier to say ‘I love you’ to a stranger when one is high on ecstasy tablets.

Once the iron gavelled fist of government control was slammed down hard on the freethinking Ravers. The rising social wave broke hard against a plethora of harsh new draconian laws. Laws which in their pitiful naivety the general public excepted. The public saw these as being necessary to stop the criminal damage and drug taking fracturing civil society. In fact they were mostly laws that are extremely indicative of a greater desire for a police state and they have come back to haunt those who let them pass so freely.

The first introduction to mystery subjects and seemingly supernatural puzzles cam in the form of a set of collectible cards gifted by his grandmother when he was just ten years old. The forty little cards introduced such subjects as crystal skulls, lake-monsters, ghosts, pyramids and aliens. The hook was set and the bait had been taken.

Teenage years and involvement with the counterculture parties detracted from serious study of mystery topics for a while. It would be actual experience of supernatural phenomena that would push him back onto the path of greater discovery.  From around sixteen years old he began to experience the psychic phenomenon known best as telepathy or direct thought transference. This began to become more and more commonplace as the years passed. In time this ability would lead towards a far deeper experience of the world mysteries than any cards or books could ever offer.

Though he does not offer psychic readings on a regular basis Bruce Fenton retains a five star rating on LivePerson which is the worlds largest paid psychic reading service. Only clients, who actually paid to talk to him, can give these ratings, the vast majority of readings were however given freely.

Bruce Fenton studied at Anglia Ruskin University and holds a Higher National Diploma in Business Information Systems. It was whilst studying at university that he first tried to contact supernatural forces via means of an Ouija board. Though several interesting contacts were made whilst working in a group he decided that to remove any doubt of validity he must work with the board alone in isolation. Further interesting contacts led him to the belief that a paranormal force was indeed at work, true nature unknown.

Some time after graduation whilst working for Europe’s largest Investment Bank, Bruce Fenton became involved with a spiritualist Internet site that incorporated a free to use chat room. The amazing insight shared with him by fellow psychics and spiritually knowledgeable people helped ground him and prepare him for things yet to come. The value of the practices shared and the helpful warnings given can’t be overstated. When the lessons need to be learned the teacher will appear.

It was whilst using the spiritual chat room that Bruce Fenton would have the experience which ignited the 2012 Rising project. Mid sentence he found himself catapulted out of his physical body to an unknown jungle location where he floated above a gleaming white stepped pyramid. Atop the pyramid a strange figure with a rather shamanic look to him went about some unknown ritual invocation. As luck would have it a fellow psychic from the chat had been dragged along with Bruce Fenton and between the two of them they sensed several pieces of crucial data regarding the scene below. Fortunately this included the year in which it they found themselves, 675AD. These garnered pieces of information would later assist in identification of the site as the Temple of Inscriptions in Palenque, Mexico. This structure is the final resting-place of the Shaman King Pacal Votan and his very famous engraved sarcophagus lid.

Following these strange events and another that involved a message from the deceased father of a personal friend, Bruce Fenton undertook a course of training in the psychic arts. It was whilst undertaking this development that one of his teachers recognised in him a gift for mental mediumship, the ability to convey messages from deceased persons to the living. All mediums are psychic but not all psychics are mediums.

The period of training led to connections with a myriad of persons involved in psychic practices or supernatural phenomena. The ancient Vedic Indians supposedly state that there are 64 psychic arts in total, it is fair to say Bruce Fenton is familiar with more than a dozen. These range through telepathy, psychometry, divination, healing, crystal work, mediumship, oracles, astral travel, lucid dreaming, precognition, retro-cognition, remote viewing, blessings, curses, spell casting, invisibility, clear sight, aura reading, chakra activation, channelling and entering higher realms of perception.

It is natural for any individual working with supernatural phenomenon to develop a hunger for related knowledge and wisdom. It is not exactly the kind of teachings found commonly in school or college. For several years Bruce Fenton became something of a spiritual scholar and meditation practitioner ploughing untold hours into comprehending ancient philosophies and metaphysical mystery topics. It was during this period that he encountered more connections to the Maya people and the year 2012.

Not surprisingly perhaps Bruce Fenton holds a rather esoteric view of the year 2012 subject and sees it as a flag raised for greater human consciousness rather than just some physical doomsday. Thanks perhaps to his near death experience during 2003 the idea of dying in 2012 or sometime beyond is not in itself that scary to him anyway. When one door closes another opens.

Q. So is it the end of the world and should we panic?

A. It is not the end of the world, and panic would achieve little anyway. It will however be the end of the world as it presently exists. The most sensible action is to do your own investigation into all related information. If you find convincing information then take sensible actions to prepare either mentally, physically or spiritually as you see fit. There are places where you can go to discuss this with people already making preperations such as here.
