What is the real story behind the fascination with the Maya Calendar and its Long Count system reaching a peak on 21-12-2012?
Having followed this line of research for many years, alongside other investigative work, I am now in the process of sharing my updated findings. In many cases these do not correspond with popular positions being shared via the internet. Essentially there is a great deal of misunderstanding and disinformation, some of the erroneous material is due to a more malign intention by some speakers keen on gaining financial rewards from their presentations. It is time to set the record straight.
The first thing to make clear is that we have no solid evidence supporting the end of the world theories being propounded loudly by too many folk. There is however evidence for the prophecy which spoke of a time of civilisation collapse, economic turmoil and climate catastrophe. The physical signs to watch for are interesting, many have been validated and others are to be waited for. Though I see turmoil in the now, in the recent past and in the near future, it is my position at this time that we will not see a doomsday type event. That does not mean I have no suspicions of severe cataclysmic occurrences, frankly these do now seem quite possible.
Does this approaching storm mean we should take the Chicken Little approach of hiding in terror from a sky about to fall on our heads?
Certainly not.
Through human history natural and unnatural catastrophe has always been a part of our story. It is often if not always the case that uncomfortable changes push us to greater evolution culturally and psychologically. This is not only a truth on the macro-cosmic level of general humanity, but also on the microscopic level of small groups and individuals. We know that our greatest changes tend to follow periods of turmoil, it is when we are 'in the gap' that we become able to reconstruct our lives. My personal mantra is thus, 'turn your breakdowns into breakthroughs'.
We live in a period of unprecedented opportunity. At long last the mass populace is becoming aware of a nefarious agenda by members of the 'elite' class that sits at the top of the social pyramid raining pain down on all of us currently utilising the system that they have painstakingly constructed over hundreds or seemingly even thousands of years. Further the people are also noticing the gaping holes in the logic of that system and the evils inherent in its design. No longer are the general public excepting the idea that governments solve problems for the common good and that financiers create global wealth for all. The fallacy of these positions are now all too apparent. Governments suppress freedom, create social ills, curtail democracy and represent elite powers. Financiers at the top of the banking system ensnare the vast majority of the planet in a net of debt-poverty so that they can harvest the entire resource and asset wealth of all living men and women. Our current system is leaning far towards being fairly called 'evil'.
Upon awakening to these mind bending ideas the individual can feel overwhelmed and way behind on getting the necessary information that will allow them to help change this state of affairs. It can get a bit frightening. That is where those of us that have been aware for a longer time than the majority must stand up and speak our hard gained understandings for others to hear. We are all one family, if I let a brother or sister walk blindly to their doom at the cliff edge, without interceding, then I might just as well of pushed them over myself. It may be that nobody listens, but that is their freewill, mine is only to speak in truth not indoctrinate or interfere forcefully.
In this presentation I will be covering several interwoven topics that stand out to me as important and inspiring. Though there are bad things going on my preference is to inspire rather than terrify. With this admitted bias in mind the talk will be covering the following subjects.
